Our Evidence-based program system
As TACK-F grows, we continuously research and improve our programs for couples. The timeline for each program may adapt.
-
Active duty, former military, & first responders— including firefighters, police, and emergency medical workers
-
Married couple
At least one partner is currently serving or has served in the military or as a first responder
An expressed need for time and tools to nourish the marriage and family
An openness to receive marital support, and a willingness to implement the resources that are provided
-
We are with our couples for about 2 years while they complete our evidence-based programs. However we are always researching and improving so our timeline may change for the benefit of our couples’ needs.
1: start HEre
Couples apply and can schedule their first meeting as soon as a week.
Strength Training
3 Months
All of our couples begin with our strength training program, which includes 10 sessions of online coaching with a clinician specially trained to understand the rigors of service career families. Through this program, couples learn to value each other’s strengths, work as a team, and reduce conflict with new communication skills. After completion, our couples move through the rest of our programs to learn the tools for a thriving service marriage.

Empowered Spouses (ES) & Emboldened Service Member Men (ESMM)
3 Months
Both programs happen simultaneously.
ES: An online community to Invest in Spouses. Build community and confidence and learn tips for self-care that can make a difference in your marriage. Join us for a 12-week safe forum with like-minded spouses. This program reinvigorates couples and spotlights the importance of prioritizing time focused on each other.
ESMM: Build community and confidence in a safe place to process thoughts and emotions that come with the service lifestyle in complete confidence face-to-face. Our goal at TACKF is to provide a transformative group of men to grow and foster strengths in their daily lives while learning to take care of themselves, each other, and their marriages. You will find that the service lifestyle is much better when you do it with others beside you. All participants must commit to ALL 8 weeks of the group to experience it to the fullest (and create bonds within the group).

Our couples finish strong with our strength training program, which includes online coaching with a clinician specially trained to understand the rigors of service career families.
